Birch Bay RV Resort…

The view from the bay at Birch Bay RV park, looks like a watercolor sunset.  Our visit to this park was interesting to say the least…they had a Phase 1 and 11 in their park, Phase 11 was obviously built to accomodate the larger rigs that are available these days.  But…because of TT’s policy that we are free to choose any site that’s available (they do […]

Grandy Creek RV Resort…

For a Thousand Trails resort…Grandy Creek really surprised us…it was very well kept, the staff was very attentive to everyone’s needs.  This was also a KOA…somehow they both shared the same park, maybe this is what made it so different.  Although, I soon found out that KOA members had to pay extra for all the amenities…I don’t know much about the KOA membership but now I […]

Seaside RV and Tall Chief RV Resorts

This is the furthest in North Oregon we’ve ever been…and I was sooo surprised at how busy the beaches were.  Not indicative of what I know to be Oregon Beaches…the coast here was full of people and dogs.  We enjoyed some beach time in between the cloudy gloomy days that still fell upon us.  Where is Summer? that was our biggest question but Doug kept reminding […]

Neskowin RV Resort, Oregon

Bunnies, Bunnies, Bunnies!  They are everywhere at this quaint RV Resort.  We made it back to the coast, and to be honest I have to admit I was missing the Ocean air.  I know I said I loved the forests in Eastern Oregon, and I do, but I am also partial to the sea, it calls to me.  A week here and then we keep moving […]

Cascade Meadows, Bend-Sunriver and Hee Hee Illahee…

We spent most of May on the East side of Oregon.  We arrived at Cascade Meadows May 7th and spent two weeks there.  First thing we noticed is that there are no trees…meaning no shade.  The first few days were cold and snowy, yep our first snow in Luna Bella.  But when it hit the mid 80’s we noted that the fridge hummed as it struggled […]

The East Side of Oregon…

I’ve always been attracted to Oregon… mostly for it’s coastal beauty…but I had never been to Eastern Oregon. The beauty here rivals that of the hight mountain deserts of Colorado.  A place near and dear to my heart where I spent 25 yrs of my life.  It’s just gorgeous there and here!   Feel free to share…

Oregon’s 7 Wonders, Lighthouses and Covered Bridges…

Shortly after we moved to Southern Oregon, from Southwest Colorado, I became obsessed with visiting as many Lighthouses as I could.  As we made our way up exploring the coast I’ve made it a point to stop and visit or at least photograph them.  So far I’ve seen 6 out of the 12 and I share the pics on Pinterest. I’m hoping to see some from […]

South Jetty RV Resort, Florence Oregon…

We decided to explore northern Oregon into Washington state this summer.  So on April 30th we headed up the coast to Florence Oregon…Sand Dunes country!  We stayed at the South Jetty RV Resort which is part of Thousand Trails.  It reminded me much of Russian River…most of the sites were in the trees and much of the place was sort of old and weathered.  But the […]

Our New Home…Still on Wheels 1

Meet Luna Bella…our new home on wheels…she’s a Keystone Montana High Country 340BH.  Here’s her floor plan…she has an actual bunk house for the boys…and of course Kaia… Once our home sold and we started our full-time venture it wasn’t long before we fell in love with it all…the freedom, the adventure, the travel.  We’ve had a few hiccups along the way but we managed to […]

Farewell Gypsy Moon…

Well, we made a huge decision and decided it was time to move into a larger RV.  When we first ventured into RV living…we kept to our thought of less is better, and choose a smallish travel trailer.  What we didn’t realize was how taxing it would be on her to have 4 people and a dog, living in it full time.  It was made for […]
